BBQ Beatdown »

Tonight tiger muay thai has a bbq, this happen every last saturday of every month.

There are a number of students who participate in amature fights in both muay thai and mma.

There is all a bbq grill on offer for a very reasonable price of 300 baht per person.

focus on my goals »

Woke up today feeling so tired and my whole entire body was aching. I really couldnt get motivated and wanted to stay in bed i was that tired, but i had to think to myself why am i at Tiger Muay Thai ?

To become happy again to loose 100kg and for ths to happen i need to put the work in and i can rest on sunday.

Well so pleased i trained today feel proud of myself and managed to train 2 solid 2 hour sessions today.
Feeling much better in myself already.

mma training »

I This week i have been taking part in the mma session both morning and afternoon.

The morning session involves grappleing techniques, fitness and for the last 30 minutes we grapple eachother to submissions.
I would like to thank Ray Elbe for adapting techniques so that i could continue in the class and for his motivation both in and out of the classes.

I have also been training in the afternoon class which is a striking class i would say this is an amazing class for those who really want to get to a high level in the mma industry.

Its very physical but also you get to learn so much from the trainers Ray Elbe , Brayden Summers and Wiktor Svensson.

1 Month Update »

Ok guys time for my monthly weigh in.

Very happy weighed in at 176kg today.

After speaking to my trainers i have been moved up to the intermediate muay thai classes and will be starting training twice a day.

I have decided to give the bjj class a go in the morning the head trainer Ray Elbe has been motivating and encouraging me to come and i feel like i can give it a go now.

My Treat Meal »

Well its sunday and i feel like a treat so Des, Martin and myself decided to go to Angus & Arfur O’Tooles Irish pub in karon.

I went for a jacket potato and baked beans with no butter and obviously my friends support me and my diet and wouldnt go for anything too tasty!!!!!!!!!

Today randy explained that it was going to be a hard session and that he thinks we can increase the intensity of the hours training session.

  • 10 minutes step ups onto wooden plank (warp-up)
  • 1 x 5 minutes maxing 7kg medicine ball slams with 1 min rest between each set.
  • 15 x 5 push ups on my knees with 30 second rest between each set.
  • 20 x 5 speed squats with 30 seconds rest in between each set.
  • 10 minutes on thick crash mat walking fast for 30 seconds then walk normal pace for 30 seconds.
  • 20 x 3 stomach crunches 30 seconds rest between each set.
  • 20 x 3 straight leg raises 30 seconds rest between each set.

When we finish the session randy helps me stretch for 15 minutes.
